Decluttering
HONEST EDITING · CLEAR HEADS · HOMES THAT BREATHE
Every home reaches a point where the contents start working against the space.
Sometimes it's a move. Sometimes it's a season of life. Sometimes it's just that the spare room has quietly become storage and the kitchen bench hasn't seen daylight in months.
Decluttering with me isn't about throwing everything out. It's an honest, room-by-room edit — keeping what earns its place, rehoming what doesn't, and giving the home back its breathing room. Whether you're selling, settling in, or somewhere in between.
Settling, simplifying, starting fresh
For homes that aren't going on the market — just need to breathe again.
Moving into a new home and wanting to start without the clutter you've inherited
Downsizing — figuring out what fits the next chapter
Post-renovation reset — making the new layout work
Wardrobes, pantries, garages, kids' rooms — the spots that quietly accumulate
A new year, a life change, or simply being ready for less
Preparing to sell
The decluttering most agents recommend but no one really explains.
Reducing visual noise so listing photos sell space, not stuff
Editing personal items so buyers can imagine themselves in the home
Working out what stays, what goes into storage, what leaves entirely
Pre-styling preparation — the groundwork that makes professional styling effective
Honest opinions on the things you can't see anymore because you live with them
The Consultation
$280 (2 hours)
A walk-through and conversation. Best as a starting point.
Room-by-room walk-through together
Honest read on what's working and what isn't
Written summary delivered within 48 hours with a prioritised action list

Hands-On Declutter Day
$700 (up to 6 hours)
We work side by side. The most popular option.
Tackle 2–4 rooms or specific zones (wardrobe, kitchen, garage)
I make the keep / store / donate / sell calls with you, not for you
Items sorted into clear categories before I leave
Donation drop-off arranged if needed (or coordinated for collection)
A reset that genuinely sticks, not a tidy-up that unravels in a fortnight
The Whole-Home Edit
From $1,800 (2–3 days)
Full property reset. For pre-sale prep or major life moments.
Every room edited and reset over consecutive days
Detailed pre-sale plan if you're heading to market
Coordination of removalists, storage and donation pickups
Light styling and repositioning as we go
Bundled with a styling package: $300 credit toward your styling fee
How I work
No judgment, no "sparking joy" lectures, no insistence that everything you own has to go.
Decluttering is personal. What feels like clutter to one household is treasured by another. My job is to ask the right questions, give honest perspective on what's helping the home and what's getting in the way, and respect the calls you make.
I bring practical structure to the process — clear categories, decision frameworks, and a calm pace — so the day doesn't become overwhelming. By the end you'll feel lighter, not sentimentally bruised.
What to expect
01 Before we start
A short call or email exchange to understand your goals, the spaces involved, and any specific challenges — pets, kids, mobility, sentimental categories.
02 On the day
I arrive on time with sorting bins, labels, and a plan. We work zone by zone. Coffee is welcome and encouraged.
03 Decisions
Every item gets one of four labels: keep, store, donate, discard. You make the final call. I help you make it faster.
04 What leaves
Donations sorted and ready for drop-off (I can arrange or take them on your behalf). Sellable items photographed and listed if you'd like. Anything for the tip handled.
05 After
A short follow-up note a week later to check what's sticking and where you might want help maintaining it.
Decluttering as the first step to styling
If your home is heading to market, decluttering is the work that makes professional styling actually land. Photos read cleaner, open homes feel larger, and buyers focus on the property instead of the contents.
Book a Hands-On Declutter Day or Whole-Home Edit together with any styling package, and you'll receive a credit of up to $300 toward your styling fee.

Common questions
-
No. Every decision is yours. I'll give you honest perspective and ask the questions that help you decide, but I don't bin anything without your okay.
-
Completely normal — it happens in most homes and it's part of why having someone alongside you helps. We take breaks. We come back to the hard pile later. We never push.
-
No prep needed — in fact, please don't pre-tidy. I want to see the space honestly so we work on what's actually there.
-
I work with local Melbourne charities depending on the items. Pickup or drop-off arranged on your behalf.
-
Absolutely. I don't photograph homes, identify clients, or share anything publicly without explicit permission. What happens in your wardrobe stays in your wardrobe.
-
My work suits everyday clutter and pre-sale preparation. For clinical hoarding situations, specialised professionals are a better fit — I'm happy to refer you to organisations that work in that space.
